I was hoping that Yu Darvish would be back. Maybe he will, but it looks like he won't so making a move to shore up my decimated pitching (which does little to help my decimated hitting). Mikolas is 35 yrs old and Lynn is 37 years old, so taking on future salary for those guys scares the heck out of me, but it is what it is. Rengifo might help a little with steals, although I fear he will be traded before the deadline into a utility role with a contender. I hate giving up my young guys, when I sign them I always have a good reason. Champlain is my kind of pitcher, good fastball, big beefy guy who can eat innings. I think he will be an innings-eating back end starter soon. Grant Taylor was tracking toward a 1st round selection until his TJ surgery dropped him to the 2nd. I had a late 1st or early 2nd round grade on Honeyman -- not likely a superstar, but there is always a place for an OFer with a good hitting profile and 15-15 or slightly more ability. Â
I will be rubbing my rabbit's foot and throwing salt over my shoulder in hopes that Mikolas and Lynn stay healthy and productive. Easy and productive talks with Mike. Good luck with your re-load!
