3 views to consider that will not only give parody to owners, because their will be retained a higher level of owners in the league...
1) Veto by one elected person who will stand up for their pass or veto by using numbers as evidence not opinions...which would make almost every trade pass except for ONLY OBVIOUSLY pathetic ones....that 75 to 100 percent of the other owners throw out PUBLICLY that the MAJORITY disagrees...not private messages between long time friends or known associates, that is impartial...stand up to everyone on your view point or don't say anything at all, whiether its right or wrong doesn't matter, the truth and best results always show up when all the info is collected and viewed, even bad thoughts or ideas help the process too.
2) if it is to be silent, make the entire process silent, all owners with over 1 year in the league gets a vote...they are counted only 10 to 0 or 15 to 0 votes count....if 9-1 or 14-1 its a hung jury..then they can chose to rework without suggestions from the panel....but all voting numbers 10 to 0 or 9-1 are posted on trades, not other owners names of who voted what....this becomes a problem if an owner holds a grudge against the one voter who voted against their trade and effects future trade negotiations between the two parties.
3) 1st year players - can not trade, period for any reason or any experience level...its like probation....the league gets to see what type of players they go after, value players and assess their entire seasons transactions, ask the owner where after 1 team are the players you have headed...again, the vetran owners vote on wheither to retain first year owner or replace.
It was said and the reason I joined this league was a great concept....30 team, dynasty league.....we do not accept any owners, we pick our owners....great idea but your current proccess actually elminates godd to great owners who chose to not pick you....the goal is to have 30 teams with owners that are around for 2 plus years...you can actually have that by taking the next step, IF the owners who have been in here 2 or more years see it...the veto process frustrates even teams who have been in 3 years and gets a trade vetoed, I know, we used it for 10 years, it never worked out as the best interest for the leagues growth and also retention...we were constantly replacing people we vetoed too much, based on our limited opinion and realized even Pros scouts can't be right most of the time...pro scouts are actually only getting a few right, there are just alot on many teams...lol
