Rule idea for new teams

Each new team is allowed 1 free drop of anyone and 4 drops of any player who hasn't qualified per PB rules for 1 year of eligibility.

They will be allowed to pick up 5 players, who haven't qualified per PB rules for 1 year of eligibility and not those eligible for the 3 round draft. Examples: AA, AAA players only. No RK, A or MLB players

New teams have 14 days to do this once they enter the league.

---this will give an idea of the new owners view of "valuable players", true experience level, only players available are that we ALL have passed on at least once or were not better than the 50 we have now and a chance to at least get 5 guys on their team that they "chose" to give them an immediate feel of ownership.

Just an idea to think over, constructive criticism and ideas only please.

First, players who have yet to have a qualifying season are eligible to be drafted in the three round annual draft which includes players at any level.


Right now any owner is allowed to drop any player on the salary exempt list for free.

Then they could bring up and bid on free agent minor leaguers offering them contracts just like everyone else.

This isn't that much different than what you are saying. Only difference that I see is no one else would be able to bid against them.

I guess I came up with this because I came in last year right as the bidding process started and didn't have a chance to drop anyone on the salary exempt list..
