Making transactions that put a team over a cap

[/i]so...basically...can we bid on 3 players when we want only 2 and can drop them...or is it open bidding for FA's in season (not just MLB talent either, if there are 3 minor leaguers posted and I think all 3 of them are better than 2 of mine...I will bid on all 3 and HOPE to get two if blind...if I get all 3...then I will try and trade someone with value...if open bidding for MLB talent and minor league talent in season, then no problem, I can work with that)

You guys know you can send in priority lists with FA bids, right? If you are bidding on 3 players and want 2, just say that when bidding;

I want player 1 and 2. If I don't get 1, I want 2 and 3. If I don't get 1 or 2, I still want Player 3.

It keeps you from going over the roster limit.

This can also be done in the case demonstrated by the A's. I have 50 current players. I bid on 3 players, 1 SP and 2 CIs. Just write in that if you win the SP, I drop Player X. If I win 2 CIs, I drop Player Y and Z. If I only win one CI, I drop Player Y.

Then you do not need a 48 hour window because you did it even before you won the bid.

Understand we can prioritize them and did it quite a bit but you want to give all the "if" "then" info before also...ok, fair enough, will try it, you know I will have the most complicated one thats ever been seen, lol...so it will be a good test with that concept. lol

This is another reason for the DFA option. When you put in your priority lists you can designate players for assignment instead of releasing them. Then you have a seven day window to make trades and so forth.

Like I said, whoever will get mine this year, have fun with them...should only be 2 pages max. lol
