What is the protocol with Waivers on releasing the posted player(s)? We posted several players to Waivers. No one claimed any of them. Do we have the option of simply releasing the players? Or, do they remain our property?
This is the section of the Rule we are referring to:
- Option 2: If after the time limit a deal is not reached, the team that posted the player on waivers can elect to receive nothing in return for the player, much like the old Irrevocable Waivers rule.

You can release them, but would owe them their salary just like any other release.
