This year I am competing in the National Fantasy Baseball Championship Classic event. Top prize is $100,000. More information here ... nfbc.stats.com/baseball/classic.asp Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone here has ever competed in a NFBC event or will be competing this season. It's extremely exciting to have the opportunity to compete in probably the highest profile competition in all of fantasy and I feel like I'm ready for it, any advice or anything will be appreciated. Maybe winning it would even lead to a prestigious unpaid internship getting coffee and running erands for real mlb front-office people , who knows. I'm excited.

You down to co-manage?
haha talent-wise that would be dominant but realistically it would be hard to co-exist and compromise
i actually do have a co-manager though he is more like a technology manager, putting everything into computer files and organizing data and rankings for me
C - A.J. Pierzynski C - Rod Barajas 1B - Lucas Duda (OF) 2B - Ryan Raburn (OF) SS - Dee Gordon 3B - Aramis Ramirez CI - James Loney MI - Yunel Escobar OF - Jacoby Ellsbury OF - Curtis Granderson OF - Andre Ethier OF - Josh Willingham OF - Ben Revere UTI - Jesus Montero (Catcher-eligible after 10 GP there)
P - David Price P - Jon Lester P - Matt Garza P - Francisco Liriano P - Jon Niese P - Edwin Jackson P - Chris Perez P - Frank Francisco P - Andrew Bailey
BN - Ty Wigginton 1B/3B/OF BN - Seth Smith OF BN - Bobby Abreu OF BN - Scott Rolen 3B BN - Jamey Carroll 2B/SS BN - Aaron Harang P BN - Jamie Moyer P
Note: We have weekly lineup changes and the first week Moyer is facing the Astros so I'll robably only play him the first week. That will likely be a slot I use on spot starters, preferably two-start pitchers, with nice matchups that I spend a buck or two on in free agency. I wanted more SP but a lot of teams really went nuts and grabbed so many guys very early. I feel very content with my starting 6 but hoped for some better bench options.
15-team league for nfbc main event
It was a lot of fun, I met Nate Ravitz from espn who was also drafting today in a separate league among some others.

For a 15team league, I think not bad. Scouring the waiver wire is gonna be important I think especially if you get some injuries. Could you post the order you drafted the guys? That would be interesting to see as well.
Good luck man. I think your right, that looks like to me a min. a 3rd place team to me.
119-94-1 Regular Season Record 6-3 Playoff Record
6x AL West Champion (2012-2016,2023) 2x AL Pennant Winner (2013,2015) 2015 PBs World Series Champion (19-3-1)
picture drafting with 14 guys who know as much or more than you do. it is really hard but i'm happy with my team and i think it's definitely balanced if nothing else, i compared my projections to the benchmarks i need to get to in relation to last years standings and i'm in okay shape, no glaring deficiency
Padres GM (Amy): @hollah, that is truly brave work
