I voted Yes also...I also think it's great that it's virtually the same color scheme as most presidential race's with Ohio in grey representing a battleground state.

I know we don't want to get all political here, but my stance on immigration is this: a lot of people blame "illegals" for taking jobs from Americans, but they work hard jobs at rates lower than minimum wage, which I'm sure most Americans wouldn't want. American businesses make money off of this labor anyway, so it's reciprocal. If illegals were to be removed, American businesses make less money, but this is just the economic side of the issue. A legitimate concern, however, is health care, and I don't have a solution for that. To my knowledge, "illegals" can walk into the ER (like anyone else) and get care; they can't be turned down.
I think a large issue is that many Americans feel a sense of, I don't know, superiority/entitlement to living here, which is understandable, but I think a little history comes into play. I think we need to remember that we seized the land in search of a better life, and that's what these immigrants are trying to do as well.
I am a liberal though, and I'd like to hear the perspective of a conservative or of someone who has a different opinion on it.

Well i can't give a conservative view on it, and basically agree with PB about the issue... this arizona crap is just legalized racial profiling. do i look illegal? no, bc i am white. give me a break. the arizona economy is bad abnd they just want someone to blame.
this is horrible esp to the latino community so how could we expect some members and idols of the community to hurt their community to play in one game?

I am conservative, and could be called ultra conservative by some, but here is my take on the issue... The idea that American people wouldn't do the "job" that the illegals do, is a bunch of crap... Walk up and talk to one 10.2% of the jobless right now and ask if they would take a job working in the fields... Their answer would be a guaranteed yes... When it comes to supporting your families and put food on plates then the vast majority of American's are going to do what it takes.
I am sure most of us here in this league have jobs, and are supporting our significant others. Count your blessings, because there are a ton who can't right now... Now this same argument about illegals 8 years ago would be different, the unemployment was half of what it is now... But given the current economic state that argument is null and void in my mind...
Also on the AZ immigration issue... First up, does anyone live in AZ here? I live in the southern part of Utah, and I can tell your from first hand experience that the immigration is a huge issue that needs to be addressed. And it is NOT just Mexican's or Latino's that are crossing the boarder between the US and Mexico, there is also other immigrants, and the police officers have the right to ask ANYONE, not just a "latino" whether or not they can provide legal documents.
To me this isn't a bad thing, I have no problem with immigrants, but I just feel they should do it legally like others do.
ANYWHO- This is a take from a conservative... there ya go...
