2017 Manager of the Year Nominations

When it comes to the other awards, I have shortlists already made based on statistics at the end of the regular season. With managers, it's not that simple.

So, for that reason, I've decided to leave the shortlist generation up to nominations. Anyone can nominate any OTHER GM for the award; you just cannot nominate yourself. So, if you think someone is worthy, please reply below and they'll appear in the vote for Manager of the Year.

A reminder that this is a regular season award. Winning managers in the playoffs already get enough reward and recognition as it is

I'll nominate three:

1) Das, Oakland Athetics - I don't think I'm alone in saying I expected Victor and the Rangers to run away with the AL West. I'm extremely impressed with the job Das has done in one year, and looking forward to seeing what he can build.

2) Hollar, Pittsburgh Pirates - It's great to see a long-term plan come together, and this year it all solidified for the Pirates. I thought it might take a couple more years, but Hollar pulled it together and made a real run at the NL Central crown, culminating in the team's first-ever playoff appearance.

3) Griffin, San Francisco Giants - The rivalry we've created in the NL West is equal parts excruciating and enjoyable. The Giants took the next step this year, and will be a serious contender in the NL for the forseeable future.

I'd like to nominate:

Dan, Colorado Rockies. Not only does he have a great team, his team got better when he traded for Cody Bellinger, that is the sort of magic I want for my team.
