I will post playoff odds as soon as we settle on an official 2019 schedule. In running multiple iterations of possible schedules, I've seen playoff percentages swing by as much as 15%.
In lieu of those, let's look at the Power Rankings my program projects for this year.
As a refresher, these are not my subjective opinions, but rather the result of an algorithm which accumulates projected stats for each roster based on Fangraph's Depth Chart season projections. I use formulae to account for team depth while also weighing strongly the starting lineup.
With comments on the podcast about the accompanying numbers, I've attempted to translate those numbers to letter grades.
I also don't intend these to be playoff predictions. For example, the Padres here are listed as the 9th best team. Every time I run the simulation, they end up with about a ~50% chance at making the playoffs because they play in the toughest division in the league.
