99 percent sure its the knicks.

Reasons-

1- talked to amare tuesday night, and carmello (rumored wants to go to ny)
2- announcement will be made in greenwich ct, 13 miles from knicks practice facility.
3- Cant see him going to Heat to follow wade and bosh.
4- Cant see him going to bulls
5- Cant see him going to newark (shit hole) even for 2 years to play for a 12 win team.
6- Amare, Gallo, Chandler actually is a very nice supporting cast, better then what CLE can offer.
7- He has told people he wants to go to NY for 2 years. Ian Oconnor confirmed that.
8- Rumors are that the announcement will be at Allan Houstons mansion.
9- Jared Dudley twittered from his sources (prob Amare), he will join knicks tomorrow.
10- A "SPECIAL", wow, what a NY thing to do.

They said Frank Isola of the NY Daily News had it up on his twitter account that it was a rumor but couldnt be confirmed. Obviously if its there though we know where hes going.

He either stays home and signs for an extra $30m or he abandons his lifelong home to win titles. As of now, the Knicks might have a better supporting cast than the Cavs but that's not relevant. It's the Knicks vs the Heat. If he stays in CLE, it's out of loyalty and for the larger contract.

I'm not sure that this is true. Sure, he won't have played his entire career with 1 team like Jordan and Kobe but if he ends his career with a fist full of rings and Finals MVPs, then he will go down with Kobe and Jordan. I'm mean Shaq and Pippen are Hall of Famers. There was always All-Stars/Superstars on those teams. You could make the argument that Kobe was actually second fiddle to Shaq early on. It was really a 1/1a type situation but it certainly wasn't 'Kobe's Team' at that point.

If he stays in CLE and doesn't win a title, he's not in the Jordan/Kobe conversation anyway. If he wins titles in similar quantity as Kobe/Jordan, I think people will look past this whole reality TV non-sense to which he's subjected us.

My money's still on CLE.

I got your Miami vote, Ive been hoping for Miami to land the Big 3, but never really believed we had a legit shot, till now. Think about it:

PG: Mario Chalmers (Great shooter, Good defense, and lets face it, who couldnt play PG with these 3, I mean look what they said about Rondo when they first signed the big 3.)
SG: Dwayne Wade (Speaks for himself)
SF: Lebron James (Speaks for himself, And can play PG if needed or if the Heat can find another SF)
PF: Chris Bosh (Speaks for himself)
C: Dexter Pittman (Big boy who hasnt come into his own but can grab some boards, and projects to be like a Glen Davis or maybe a Kendrick Perkins)

Bench: Michael Beasley (Has the potential to take this team over the top, if he can live up to his potential, watch out. Worse case senario, hes another Udonis Haslem, which isnt exactly a bad thing)

Bench: De'Sean Butler (This guy is a shooter nuff said, he has nerves of steel)

Bench: Jarvis Varnado (Lets face it, they dont need him or Pittman to score, they just need to grab boards and play defense which is what this guy does best, what was it 10 rebounds, 5 blocks a game average for his career? And when teamed with Pittman, can be a solid 1/2 punch at the C position)

And thats just what we have as of tonight, not even considering if we can sign a few smaller market guys like a Raja Bell to tighten up the back court defense and a shooter like JJ Reddick or any other vets looking for a ring, Maybee Iverson if hes ready to stop crying.

My understanding of the NBA salary cap is certainly not comprehensive but it's my understanding with Wade, Bosh AND Lebron, there wouldn't be much, if any, funds available to get an established player, even an aging one like Bell. It would have to be all drafting and D-League scraps to fill in the remaining pieces.

Ultimately, they have enough to win with the current roster but there is just no room for error/injuries. It's clearly still worth the risk for the Heat imo tho.

Edit: and there have been good players that come out of the d-league. The need to rely on the those guys is the problem but the Warriors have been able to find useful enough pieces out of the d-league (Azabuike, Williams, Tolliver, Watson). Now clearly nothing about the Warriors should be used as a roadmap but it goes to show that they are useful pieces in the D-League

Well Wade, and Bosh already said they would sign a lesser contact, so if Lebron agrees to the same then it frees up a little money. Plus from what I understand the Salary cap was expanded by like 2m so every team has a little more money. And as far as Bell and others go. They would deff have to sign a favorable contract for the heat, but I know Rilley will talk some vets into signing up for the rings rather then the money.

Yeah, it's worth taking a shot on clearly but it's certainly cutting it close. I mean, that lineup you put up is definitely good but it's only 8 deep with 4 players that haven't shown that they are NBA regulars yet. It could work but just not much margin for error

Can Chris Paul and Melo get traded to the Knicks Asap!!!! and Maybe something like Brandon Roy to the Spurs along with Tiago Splitter from Europe and Shaq (who wants to finish of there)this year. Maybe Deron Williams to the Magic. Fuck it Lets just stack the shit out of like 4 teams in each conferance and let these other teams start rebuilding now cause really what the fucking use. I mean the impending FA's next year aren't sticking around in there cities and Unless they Jazz/Nuggets/etc....want to be this years Cav's they'd be wise to get some value in picks and players while many teams are under the cap and have flexibility. Before they Blow it on fucking Travis Outlaw and Amir Johnson!
