Former Twins GM (Robin) and Nationals GM (Preston) like this
Post by Cubs GM (Beau) on Dec 8, 2020 8:23:56 GMT -8
The Twins have stepped into semi-retirement. After years of commish office dedication, Robert is stepping back to concentrate on bringing a championship to the Twins. PB Dynasty has had the privilege of Robert's work, dedication, and pleasant demeanor while doing the work.
Good news: the podcast is still a go.
This means we are looking for a new addition to the CO. Veterans will likely be prioritized, but everyone who's interested should reply to this thread. Most of the work is the Manfred account (which is why trades are not processed at the moment) and technical Fantrax work. The tasks are below. Some of this likely to get passed around to other CO members, so don't be intimidated by the list.
This league's strength and longevity is dependent on owners stepping into admin roles and CO let's you see how the whole thing works. Also, it's fun. Thanks to everyone who volunteers!
Tasks:
Daily (more or less) check for posted trades.
Post them in the Trades thread as being under review.
Cut and paste them to the Trade review thread for the TP to vote on.
DM the trade panel members and Hollar to let them know a trade has been posted for review.
Check to be sure the trade is posted correctly on Fantrax.
Remind TP members to vote when they haven't for a while.
Check in regularaly on existing trade status.
Clarify and rules about trades if and when they arise, ideally without prejudicing the trade committee.
In the rare instance where owners are on the TP so that we can have a tie, and the Vote is contentious, break ties.
Make sure Hollar has checked the contracts and that the trade can go forward. If not restart the process, after requesting the required changes.
Remind owners that their completed trade can't be put through until it's posted on Fantrax.
If finalized, post the completed trade one way or the other on the Trade thread.
Put the trade through on Fantrax.
Deal with any and all Fantrax issues, like owner changes, data entering schedule once Dan has it done, weekly tiebreaks, standings adjustments, eligibility checks, and scoring questions.
Weigh in on various rules and ruling by CO.
Pass info on to the league.
Occasionally make sure rosters are in line with Hollar's spreadsheet checks.
