I could possibly see a few of this years draftee's sneaking into the top 50....but its tough to say. No chance any beyond the 3 above make it into the top 30 though. It was a 3 man draft a 17 year old Catcher (atleast he was) with 80 power, a HS pitcher with Top of the rotation projection, and a potential 5 tool SS with Arod comps (which I'm sure will fall short). The rest of the draft on draft day and through today are not in those guys class. Luckily for this draft though we've had so many guys reach the bigs and so many perrenials have crappy years that the top 100 will have a ton of new names....I think Kyle Gibson, Randal delgado and Wilin Rosario were big omissions above. I'm def drinking the Nick Franklin, Brandon Belt kool-aid though and I believe Law/Callis are as well.
i agree with the fact it was a probably a three man draft; however, Matt Lipka the braves first pick in the draft, who is already signed, at only 18 has put these stats up.
320 average, 22 RBI, 13 Steals, 23 Runs in just 30 games and sure its rookie ball but thats still impressive, im on the bandwagon there.
