Do I understand this correctly?

2020 team payroll $142m, min 550k
2021 team payroll $143m, min 600k
now this year its
2022 team payroll $144m, min 700k

why change either if they both go up? just to put more work on the spreadsheet guy? not understanding the purpose at all 

Thought it was said the team payrolls would go up for teams to spend more, but then its just taken away with the min going up?

Is this a government run league?

We have tried to model this league after real life.  Since the salary has gone up in real life……..

Mike, please cut the bullshit political asides out. These rule changes have been clearly communicated for YEARS. I highly doubt you're actually trying to start a rational discussion, but if you are maybe try and not attack the league office who takes hundreds of hours of of their lives to attempt to make the league more fun for all?

it was mainly just a joke, just seemed sorta a waste of time for the front office to raise team payroll and min amounts, they sorta offset each other. More of a observation then any discussion.

Politics is the last thing I will ever get involved in.

It was discussed and made sense to raise team payrolls, and planned out over a 5 yr period.  League min raises were not planned out to coincide.  If they were done at the same time, I would have said something then of, no point, if they both go up.

The league is obviously trying to reflect real life in minimal salary increase.

Your comment about the government sure was political, as was your comment about not wanting to be involved in politics.

Do you run a league yourself? If not, I recommend reading The Man in the Arena quote before ‘jokingly’ criticizing league admin.
