I haven't updated this since May, so let's do this!
I hope I don't have to keep saying this, but this is for entertainment purposes only. I'm not a scout. I just have eight different sites I either pay for or am able to access, which put out Top 400 or 500 dynasty prospect rankings. I average these out, and then use an algorithm that ranks the system, with a lot of weight being given to the top of the lists for each team.
With Riley Greene graduating, the Cubs lose their spot as the #1 overall farm system. But they've now got a few really good recent graduates, with their system remaining very strong. I went back and forth debating on whether I wanted to overrule the algorithm's ranking of the top 2, for reasons I'll get into further down the list.
I may have missed a prospect or two in this, but if a hitter or pitcher looked like they'd exhaust their prospect eligibility with reasonable surety in the next couple weeks, I graduated them off the list.
#30 - Atlanta Braves
Preseason: #24
Top 5: D; Top 10: D+; Depth: C-
Top 10
Deeper than other systems at the bottom, but a weaker top of the system places them here. I'm sure the Braves won't complain, so long as they win the championship. The top couple prospects are close to big league ready, though.
#29 - Chicago White Sox
Preseason: #29
Top 5: D+; Top 10: D+; Depth: N/A
Top 10
Have traded most of their preseason prospects for help this year, which is the White Sox's MO here. It works, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I could be kicking myself for trading Norby away in a few years.
#28 - Houston Astros
Preaseason: #21
Top 5: D; Top 10: D+; Depth: B-
Top 10
Kind of a supersized version of the Brave's system. The Astros have a relatively weak top of their system, but do go 21 prospects deep. There are some interesting names here, too: Montero has some power, Barber is a speed+power guy, who could be valuable in a league this deep.
#27 - Minnesota Twins
Preseason: #28
Top 5: D+; Top 10: D+; Depth: C-
Top 10
Emmanuel Rodriguez has been a really nice breakout prospect. First consensus top 100 prospect on the lists thus far.
#26 - New York Mets
Preseason: #25
Top 5: D+; Top 10: D+; Depth: D+
Top 10
Another system where a top 100 prospect in Andrew Painter makes up for a lack of depth. Painter looks like a potential building block, though.
#25 - Detroit Tigers
Preseason: #26
Top 5: C; Top 10: C; Depth: B-
Top 10
Pitching heavy top of the system, but with a few names to potentially build a future rotation out of.
#24 - Milwaukee Brewers
Preseason: #23
Top 5: C; Top 10: C; Depth: C-
Top 10
A mix of near MLB-ready prospects and future value. Beer is nearly graduated, but has had a rough year so far. Wiemer has cooled off after a torrid start, but still has plenty of value.
#23 - San Diego Padres
Preseason: #30
Top 5: C; Top 10: C-; Depth: C
Top 10
Breakouts from their top three prospects vault San Diego from being the last-ranked system up seven spots here. Williams and Hence look like potential high-K starters, and Bernabel has enjoyed a fine season with the bat himself.
#22 - San Francisco Giants
Preseason: #22
Top 5: C+; Top 10: C; Depth: D
Top 10
Max Meyer is a nice start to this system, and there's a decent mix of floor and ceiling here, as well.
#21 - Baltimore Orioles
Preseason: #5
Top 5: C+; Top 10: C+; Depth: B-
Top 10
One of the more active owners in FA prospecting, Baltimore has remade its farm system over the past weeks. They fall all the way from #5 in the preseason for a good reason - having graduated Julio Rodriguez and Spencer Torkelson.
#20 - New York Yankees
Preseason: #15
Top 5: C+; Top 10: C+; Depth: C-
Top 10
There are a number of near-ready prospects here - Aranda, Freeman, Loftin, Silseth, Shenton. It doesn't appear that any besides maybe Aranda have lofty ceilings, but in a 30 team league, there is a lot of value in a major league floor.
#19 - Los Angeles Angels
Preseason: #27
Top 5: C+; Top 10: B-; Depth: B-
Top 10
Pasquantino gives this system a high-impact bat, though one close to graduating. Graceffo and Strand have really broken out this year, and Carlos Jorge is a high-upside lottery pick from the complex leagues.
#18 - Seattle Mariners
Preseason: #20
Top 5: C+; Top 10: C+; Depth: B-
Top 10
Some very nice bats at the top of this system, in the ever valuable MI/CI positions.
#17 - Boston Red Sox
Preseason: #3
Top 5: B-; Top 10: C+; Depth: C
Top 10
Baz and Lewis are a great start to this farm system, and would be even better if they could avoid getting injured. Boston has fallen from 3rd overall through a combination of graduation (Rutschman) and trade.
#16 - Miami Marlins
Preseason: #13
Top 5: B-; Top 10: C+; Depth: C
Top 10
Not as good of a top end as Boston, but deeper overall. Henry Davis and Nick Pratto are nice bats at the top of this system.
#15 - Cincinnati Reds
Preseason: #17
Top 5: B-; Top 10: C+; Depth: B
Top 10
Vaughn Grissom has vaulted up the prospect ranks this season, looking like a potential impact bat. Nice mix of upside and floor here, but with a lack of potentia impact pitching.
#14 - Tampa Bay Rays
Preseason: #19
Top 5: B-; Top 10: B; Depth: B+
Top 10
Eury Perez is a potential stud and a fine start to one of the deepest farm systems yet. Tampa goes 25 strong in their minors, here.
#13 - Texas Rangers
Preseason: #8
Top 5: B-; Top 10: B-; Depth: B-
Top 10
Elly De La Cruz has blossomed into one of the best prospects in the minor leagues with an electrifying blend of power and speed. He and Jasson Dominguez form a duo who offer a tantalizing upside, but not without a fair amount of risk.
#12 - Arizona Diamondbacks
Preseason: #9
Top 5: B; Top 10: B; Depth: D+
Top 10
Mayer has justified his draft position this year, solidifying himself as a top 20 prospect. Arroyo, meanwhile, has exploded onto the scene, and could form a formidable 1-2 punch at MI with Mayer in the future. A couple of these guys are already in the majors or could be soon.
#11 - Oakland Athletics
Preseason: #12
Top 5: B; Top 10: B; Depth: B-
Top 10
A couple high-upside bats lead the A's future. Vaquero hasn't had the season many thought he could have at the complex level, but he has the tools to join the two top names.
#10 - St. Louis Cardinals
Preseason: #16
Top 5: B+; Top 10: B-; Depth: C
Top 10
A top 10 prospect in Vargas leads this system, but there's more than that here, with a nice collection of high-upside bats with decent pitching. Asa Lacy has been slipping down lists, but now back from his injury, hopefully he can show the upside so many saw before. Lucky for the Cardinals, while Lacy has been falling, Olson has been rising.
#9 - Washington Nationals
Preseason: #10
Top 5: B+; Top 10: B; Depth: C
Top 10
The Nationals lost Bobby Witt Jr. to graduation, so how did they end up raising a spot? With a phenomenal draft period. Frelick, drafted in the 1st round, is a consensus top 100 prospect. Gelof, in the supplemental round, is nearly that himself, coming in at 108 on my aggregated rankings. But both pale in comparison to Tiedemann, an undrafted free agent who has risen to top 50 prospect status. Oh, and I guess Casas is nice too. This system falls off quickly after Campusano, though.
#8 - Pittsburgh Pirates
Preseason: #18
Top 5: B+; Top 10: A-; Depth: A
Top 10
Speaking of undrafted free agents, none eclipses Jackson Chourio, who went from not being selected in our draft to an undisputed top 10 prospect tearing up the minor leagues. He leads a collection of high upside bats, and Hunter Brown, who is a nice pitching prospect in his own right.
#7 - Cleveland Guardians
Preseason: #14
Top 5: B+; Top 10: A-; Depth: B
Top 10
Not as Phillies-heavy as the Guardians have been in prior years, Cleveland has also used a strong draft to climb in these rankings, as Wood and Williams have had strong years, Woods placing him as a top 20 prospect and a crown jewel of the real life Juan Soto trade.
#6 - Kansas City Royals
Preseason: #2
Top 5: A-; Top 10: A-; Depth: B
Top 10
Through a combination of trades and graduation, Kansas City has fallen a bit from their prior lofty position. But breakouts have kept them afloat, as Tovar has shot up rankings like a rocket this year. Espino had a breakout of his own before injury. Bello, Acuna, and Canario all also climbed up rankings, making up for the prospects the Royals lost.
#5 - Philadelphia Phillies
Preseason: #7
Top 5: A-; Top 10: A; Depth: A
Top 10
#4 - Toronto Blue Jays
Preseason: #4
Top 5: A; Top 10: A; Depth: C
Top 10
Gunnar Henderson has risen to be a top 5 prospect, looking like an absolute stud at MI. Jung probably would have graduated this year if not for injury, but was just reinstated today, and could still debut down the stretch. The Jays have five top 60 prospects, but depth does fall off after House quite a bit.
#3 - Chicago Cubs
Preseason: #1
Top 5: A; Top 10: A+; Depth: A+
Top 10
Despite a few key high-profile graduations, the Cubs are still a top 3 prospect. In part due to a trade netting them top 10 prospect Anthony Volpe, and shrewd free agent pickups. Depth is the name of the game here, with the Cubs having 28 of the top 300 prospects.
#2 - Los Angeles Dodgers
Preseason: #11
Top 5: A+; Top 10: A+; Depth: B+
Top 10
The Dodgers, without a doubt have the best top-end of any farm system in this league. They have the top consensus prospect in Carroll, and the 6 and 7 prospects in Lawlar and Hassell. The only thing that keeps them number 2 is a lack of depth. There are five top 50 prospects here, with Waldichuk coming in at 107. But then it quickly drops off, down to Chandler at 151 (who could easily rise up lists). Overall, there are 12 top 300 prospects here, which, for sure, is a good amount, but does not hold up to either the Cubs or Rockies depth.
I very much debated overruling my algorithm here. The Dodgers do have a better top 3 than I do, without a doubt. However, depth needs to be a consideration here.
#1 - Colorado Rockies
Preseason: #6
Top 5: A+; Top 10: A+; Depth: A+
Top 10
Led by #3 overall prospect, Jordan Walker, the Rockies take the top spot. Noelvi Marte is the 13 overall prospect and Alvarez 16, but, while the Dodgers have the better top end, Colorado has 15 of the aggregated/consensus top 100 prospects and 33 of the top 300. Through a combination of trades and free agency, the Rockies rebuild has begun in earnest.
I hope I don't have to keep saying this, but this is for entertainment purposes only. I'm not a scout. I just have eight different sites I either pay for or am able to access, which put out Top 400 or 500 dynasty prospect rankings. I may have missed a prospect or two in this, but if a hitter or pitcher looked like they'd exhaust their prospect eligibility with reasonable surety in the next couple weeks, I graduated them off the list.

Not as Phillies-heavy as the Guardians have been in prior years, Cleveland has also used a strong draft to climb in these rankings, as Wood and Williams have had strong years, Woods placing him as a top 20 prospect and a crown jewel of the real life Juan Soto trade.

Despite a few key high-profile graduations, the Cubs are still a top 3 prospect. In part due to a trade netting them top 10 prospect Anthony Volpe, and shrewd free agent pickups. Depth is the name of the game here, with the Cubs having 28 of the top 300 prospects.

10 | Alex Ramirez | OF | NYM |
Led by #3 overall prospect, Jordan Walker, the Rockies take the top spot. Noelvi Marte is the 13 overall prospect and Alvarez 16, but, while the Dodgers have the better top end, Colorado has 15 of the aggregated/consensus top 100 prospects and 33 of the top 300. Through a combination of trades and free agency, the Rockies rebuild has begun in earnest.
