A very difficult move to make, but my window to compete is now and maybe one more year, so I have to make moves for players that can help now vs waiting another year and half for Alcantra to make it back. Hoping Lynch continues to make strides of becoming at very least a serviceable SP and pick up a nice setup guy in Rogers. I’m not sure Estevez is the closer next year for long, but if price is right, might be worth holding onto for a year or 2. If not, an extra draft pick is always nice.

I am building a team for 2025 and beyond, and see Alcantara as a great addition to what may be the best starting rotation in the league from 2025-

I am banking on Alcantara returning to his best form following TJ Surgery.

I give up some good relieve pitching in Rogers & Estevez which is better suited to competing in 2024 than from 2025. I also move Lynch whom I see as serviceable, but not approaching the potential of Alcantara.
