Free Agent Question

So are Yu Darvish, Yoennis Cespedes, and Jorge Soler going to be considered free agents or draftable rookies? Technically in MLB they will be considered rookies. I think that is something important to think about.

If we are keeping it real they should be free agents as in real baseball

Its all ready in the rules. All international players that are signed by a real team during the offseason as well as every unowned milb defined player is eligible for draft. The only caveat to a guy like Darvish is he retains his prospect protection but you pay his real life salary every year he is protected.

Yes, there's an age cut off in the rules and Darvish at 25 qualifies as a player eligible for the draft.
