Congrats to those teams that made the playoffs.
NL
1. Atlanta
2. St. Louis
3. Los Angeles
4. Washington
5. San Diego
6. Cincinnati
AL
1. Texas
2. New York
3. Chicago
4. Houston
5. Baltimore
6. Boston
The same tiebreaker used during the regular season is still in effect. If there is still a tie after applying the tiebreaker then the higher seed will advance. The top seeds in each league get a bye for the first week.
Thank you everyone for sticking with it for the regular season. I know it was kinda rough for a while this season, but I think we are working in the right direction in order to get everything working smoothly. We will be going over rules and rule changes in the next couple of weeks to try to get them hammered out in plenty of time before the next season starts. Watch and/or post in the suggestions thread to discuss rules and rule changes and any other ideas that may improve upon or enhance the league. I would like everyone to participate in these discussions, and then take a couple of months off. After the playoffs, all owners will not be required to sign in on a regular basis until December. Please sign in periodically to check on PM's and new posts.
Free agency is closed until further notice.
Trading is closed and will re-open beginning with the first day after the last MLB regular season game is played.
A rough timeline of off-season events will be posted in the calendar soon.
One of the first off-season events will be the non-tender deadline (early December). Remember teams may “non-tender” contracts of players who are within their protection years that they do not wish to keep, much like how the same process works in the MLB. Note that this does not include players already signed to long-term deals as they are subject to these contracts and are not considered protected. Again, only players within protection or signed on minor league AAS deals. Once you non-tender a player, that player becomes a free agent and you do not owe them anything. You may non-tender players beginning with the first day after the last MLB regular season game is played.
If for any reason anyone wants to quit, please let us know as soon as possible so we can find replacements. Please send me a PM listing the reasons for leaving. Your PM will be kept confidential.
If anyone has questions or concerns please get in touch with the CO.
Thanks, Pat(Reds)
