Did everyone see he will be the starting 2b for the cardinals now and they have been batting him at the very top of the lineup? He could be the top HR hitting 2b or even SS this year with leadoff number of at bats.

ok, not more than cano, yet, give him at least a FULL season or two before he has the potential to do it....and yes 6 hrs in part time duty. The guy is just barely past rookie status, lol...

Still could be a top MI for years....6'3" 200 lbs...and can definately hit and has at every level....lol...lets see how this plays out...might bet you in 2 years.

Might be the top MI in the NL this season with his potential. That better and yes I might bet on him against NL 2b.

and please, tell me, who in the league would trade Matt Carpenter, MI, for Kris Medlen, SP....if not, heck lets throw in a few more players with Carpenter to make it "Fair"....lol...this is going to be fun, this season as well as many more seasons.

pick any NL 2b (-Hill) to go against Carpenter and sure I will bet it.

You still have the huge advantage if you want to give me odds, just sayin...2 years league fees to your one?

I screamed all last year to let him play 2b because I had him in another league... He is now definately got a better chance at being a stud 2b than Medlen does at being an ace, lol

I never do, against the field, bets I used that for too many years to win money...thats a sucker bet against any one player, no matter how good, even Miggy.

so you are saying, only HILL can beat him in the NL, lol...nice.....if you don't think anyone other than Hill can beat him, then the "field" isn't the field, its just Hill.....let me know if you want ANY other 2b in the NL...

.I am confident that Carpenter's value will be one of the highest after this season because of MI.

My point is simple, I WAY overpaid for Medlen and going to keep providing info for that trade for everyone to see why I did.

You're the one that was saying all this crazy stuff about him leading MLB 2B in HR. Then, it was NL, then it's NL -Hill. I was simply trying to get you to put your money where your mouth is but you're back-tracking quickly.

And, how do we count 2B? Are we only counting HR hit while playing 2B?

lol, min of 200, 250 or 300 AB's at 2b...thats half a years worth...seems more than fair, not the 3.1 abs per game MLB uses to qualify for batting average..

This league would cry all day, if Carpenter ends up leading all MLB 2b in HR's, I promise you don't want me to win that bet, that or I will get booted for sure.......which means winning a league fee for next year wouldn't happen either way, lol.

Back tracking? this wouldn't be happening at all, but I will completely stand against the veto that created this problem. I said it was terrible then and will for years, until all players involved retire. That I will bet on.

Carpenter now qualifing for MI is just the first step in proving my point...nobody can call who will win the HR title in ANY position on the playing field against the "field"...morons take that bet...your the one who thought you could goat someone into betting real money on it...there are plenty of owners that you can get with that trick, good luck to you and your quest on that.

Like I said, you can have Medlen and I will take anyone in the "field" since the league veterans (which you are) think Medlen is an ace since everyone believes the Veto Committee was correct...put the veterans money where their mouth was. Will bet on that too.

It says "could" didn't say "would" or "will".......unless you think I spelled that wrong too, lol, that would be you that made the statement, not I.

but it is fun watching someone try to spin things and make chump bets....don't know if you want to continue down this path and I really doubt you want to make any bets with me, anything baseball or fantasy baseball...but I will be more than willing to bet on anything we agree to...and will even send the amount to Preston to hold and give to the winner...if I leave or die, you get the the money, guaranteed then.

Now you have 4 or 5 bets you can choose from that I will put my money where my mouth is...maybe you will take one or really show some guts and take them all. Bettin man, lol, I will be your huckleberry, this year and every year.

You obviously haven't played in cutthroat leagues or very hard core leagues...and this isn't even hard core trash talking, so don't cry that this is "mean" since a few people already are......imagine it with $1500 dollars or more on the line with side bets..Got to buy 4 Mickey Thompsons after one season, got to take a trip to San Antonio after a season, etc, whatever......fantasy can be like craps in an alley...

Nice - Week 1 - With Carpenter on my team and any MLB pitcher the Brewers or Angels had on their roster, I win. That is 0-1 (to be updated weekly)

Thought I would update this since I guess it was forgotten already. Stats for Matt "The NL HR Champ" Carpenter and Kris "Im OVERRATED" Medlen

MI - Matt Carpenter , STL - .267, 14R, 1HR, 6RBIs, .750OPS (Also as of this posting, 2 for 23 in last 7days for a BA of .087)

SP - Kris Medlen , ATL - 19ip, 1W, 9Ks, 1.42ERA, 1.11WHIP (Last start went 7ip, 1ER, 5Ks, 0BB, and ND)


Would expect a little more K's from Medlen, and as season goes, they will come. The wins will definitely be there with the way that ATL offense is churning out runs. I know you wish Medlen had gotten you 1 more inning that first week, but his first start and dont wanna work him too hard.

Will occassionally update this in case someone forgets too.
